AEW Collision 5/22/2025
From the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Ranco, New Mexico! Tony Schiavone welcomes Adam Cole to the commentary table tonight, joining himself and Excalibur!
Tony Schiavone welcomes FTR and Stokely Hathaway to the ring. Now Daniel Garcia, along with Matt Menard. And finally. Nigel McGuinness. FTR give Nigel one more chance to back out of this match on Sunday, because there is no commentary table to hide behind. A shell of Nigel McGuinness against the greatest tag team of all time. Dax and Cash sign the contract for Sunday.
Garcia says that FTR has turned their back on anyone that’s ever been there for them. Garcia is standing up for Schiavone, for Menard, for Copeland, for everybody that’s had enough of the both of them. FTR are the best tag team in wrestling, but Sunday won’t be a wrestling match, it will be a fight. As for Nigel? Nigel still has the look in his eyes that he did when he was beating the best ROH Champions of all time. Garcia knows that Nigel still has it, and so do the fans. Garcia tells Nigel if he isn’t going to bring the Nigel that he’s capable of, then there’s no reason for him to sign the contract.
Nigel wants a guarantee that after Sunday, FTR don’t touch Tony Schiavone or Nigel ever again.
Dax says this is all business, and FTR will be businessmen, but he’s got one last chance to run back to the commentary table. Nigel tells Dax to keep his hands off of him. Dax doesn’t. A brawl breaks out as Garcia locks in the Sharpshooter on Cash and Nigel the London Dungeon on Dax! Security breaks it up and we’re ready for Sunday!

Kyle dives on a guillotine on Gibson as Strong covers Drake for the win.
Winners: The Paragon
Rating: ***. This ruled but it should have been given another ten minutes. Good for GYV getting their change on the big show, hopefully they stick around.

Fox goes back up top and misses a 450 splash, but lands on his feet. Fox tries the rolling cutter but Alexander follows and tosses him with a German. Powerbomb by Alexander and the C4 ends this one.
Winner: Josh Alexander
Rating: **3/4. Again, shorter matches than usual tonight but they’ve all been fantastic. AR Fox makes everyone look good and Josh is being booked as a monster for Callis, and a great addition to his stable.

Final Thoughts: Weird show tonight, but now in a bad way. Lots of matches on the card and none of them blew the doors off, but they were all good… Very good. You can tell Collision is the second show, as it has almost a completely different roster, and it makes the shows feel different. 7.5/10.
