It’s Saturday, and you know what that means …
All Elite Wrestling is back tonight from Springfield, MA., with the September 12, 2026 episode of AEW Collision at 8/7c on TNT and HBO Max.
AEW COLLISION RESULTS 9/12/26
Appropriately, our show opened with a memorial graphic for Andy “The Butcher” Williams, as we went to a live shot of the Springfield, MA Arena. In the ring, a wreath and guitar in honor of Williams was shown as Tony Schiavone welcomed us to the show. He asked for the fans in attendance to please stand for the ten-bell salute.
After the ten-bell salute, we went to words from Brodie King, Colt Cabana, Justin Roberts, Penelope Ford, Kip Sabian, among others. They all spoke to the kind, gentle character of Andy Williams, who will be missed dearly.
We then went to commentary, as Nigel McGuinness, Paul Wight, and Tony Schiavone called Williams a “great friend”, and someone that made you want to be a better person just by talking to him. After that, we went right to what we’ll see tonight, including the Butcher Battle Royale, a big eight-man tag match, The Lethal Twist vs. The Conglomeration, and our opening bout, Jon Moxley vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey
AEW Continental Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey
As the bell rang, Mox and Speedball got into a technical wrestling battle as the Montreal native went to a waistlock takeover. Moxley turned that around with a waistlock, but Speedball turned that into a side headlock takeover as the two foes were at a stalemate. Speedball looked for a fistbump, but Moxley didn’t take it as he ended up in a hammerlock. Very methodical start to this match so far.
Wristlock battle between Moxley and Speedball, but the latter got the single leg takedown. Mox forced back into the ropes, but he turned that around and slammed Bailey for an early pin attempt. Mox pinned Bailey down and looked for a little joint manipulation. Mox sretched Speedball’s fingers every which way. Bailey fought back and forced Mox to retreat to the outside. Mox took his time before he got back into the ring. Kick to the gut by Mox, followed by the scoop slam. Mox tied up Speedball’s legs and had a unique head scissors and submission on him before he transitioned into a chinlock. Even more painful joint manipulation by Moxley as he whipped Speedball in the corner. Big mistake there, as Speedball soared with the missile dropkick on Mox. A flurry of kicks from Speedball kept Mox down, but not long enough as he missed with the standing shooting star press.
Mox threw Speedball out of the ring, but his knee was targeted as Speedball kicked at it, then hitting a brutal dragon screw on the Cincinnati native. Apron leap kick knocked Mox for a loop as he hit the tornillo from the springboard. That took us from the break.
Back from the break as we found out that we have passed the ten-minute mark with ten to go in this Eliminator match. Both Mox and Speedball were down after a suplex from the former. As both got to their feet, the exchange of strikes began. Speedball struck with kicks to Mox’s leg as he struck him with the heel kick. Bailey fell down first with Mox stumbling not long after. Speedball struck harder with the kicks, but Mox got around it with the knees to the gut as he transitioned into the bulldog choke. Speedball countered that into a pin for a near-fall. Dragon Screw by Speedball as he hit the standing moonsault knee press on Mox.
Speedball tried for a submission, but he got locked in the rear naked choke that Mox turned into an armbar. Mox couldn’t apply the full torque as Spedball got the pin on him again, but only a two. Mox blocked Speedball’s pin attempt and found himself on the apron. The dragon screw, followed by the leg sweep knocked Mox down. Moonsault knee press on the apron by Speedball had Mox reeling once more with five to go. Moonsault missed, but Speedball kicked him in the head and got the backslide pin. One, two…. 2.99999999999999!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Speedball missed with the kick and got hit with the Mox Cutter. The Death Riders’ leader looked for a Paradigm Shift, but Speedball blocked it a Mox’s legs were in pain.
Mox missed with the kick in the crner as Speedball struck him in the head. One, two…. no! Off the top rope, shooting star press! One, two… Moxley kicked out! Kneebar by Speedball after the kickout, but Mox reached the bottom rope. With under three to go, Mox got the Paradigm Shift DDT. Speedball bounced back with the roll-up and nearly got the win. A modified stacked pin, but Mox kicked out! Architect’s Curb Stomp by Moxley, followed by the Death Rider DDT and that’s enough for the win.
