Preview For Colt Cabana/Lance ArcherÂ
– These quotes came from this weeks Road to TNT Championship episode, which is available right now on the All Elite Wrestling YouTube channel.
Colt Cabana: I’ve known what i’ve done in my career, where i’ve been, my past, the experiences that i’ve had. For me, I excepted to come in, to have an undefeated record, to be someone that fans are talking about going, oh, he’s good. But I feel there was a lower expectation on me from people within the company and maybe even a separate demographic of fans and now i’m blowing their expectations. But not for me, I’ve always known that i’m a great competitor, a great wrestler. Yeah, a little charismatic, a little over top, a little fun.
Jake The Snake Roberts: You know, when this whole thing came about, TNT coming up with this championship and wanting to put somebody out there in front, I think it was made for us. I’ll tell you why. They would love to have a Lance Archer out there in front, you want to take something to a party, take him into the party. Everybody’s gonna look, everybody’s gonna bow down. When he walks into a place, he commands attention. Lance was made for this. In our minds, that championship belt is a ball. Do you really want to come try and take this ball away from that dog? Lance is going to enjoy this, because each time he wins, he knows he’s gonna be getting a little bit closer to what we want.
Colt Cabana: My whole career, I have been a fight from the bottom guy. Prove my work, show my worth. Lance Archer, okay, dominant in Japan, right? So we want him here in AEW, the guy’s been dominating the far east for so long, we’re gonna bring him finally back to America so he can prove himself. What about me? I’ve been dominant in Japan for over 15 years.
Jake The Snake Roberts: Oh, Colt Cabana, i’ve watched you for years. Hell, I know what you’re capable of and you got some stuff, but not near good enough. You look at Lance Archer, 275 pounds of raw steel, man. He’s got an attitude, he’s got a chip on his shoulder and he’s pissed off.
Colt Cabana: I’ve been wrestling for a long time. I’ve seen him around the world. I am prepared for this man no matter how big, no matter how tough, but that is the beauty in this story. Come from underneath, show my worth and prove myself. Right now, I’m solely concentrating on Lance Archer. I’m not looking past Lance Archer.
Jake The Snake Roberts: He’s got something none you of people have, he’s a frigging animal. Listen to me or regret it.
Colt Cabana: And i’m gambling on myself in this tournament and i’m gambling on myself to be the TNT Champion.
