A recap of Darby Allin attacking Jon Moxley at New York Comic Con.
Darby Allin and Jon Moxley meet at an undisclosed location, separated by prison glass. Moxley says the game was rigged for Darby in Toronto, he was never going to get him into a coffin. Now, it’s rigged for both guys, Neither one will quit. What are we going to do, man? Moxley is out of ideas. There’s still a chance for Darby to be on the right side of history.
No there’s not. Darby saw what happened to Danielson, why would he ever go to war with Moxley, someone who could stab his own brother in his back?
Bryan who? Moxley did the best he could for Bryan Danielson. This is a war for the future of our craft and sacrifices need to be made. Darby thinks Moxley is slowly chipping away at AEW and all of the things that make this place special. Darby placed the AEW flag on Mt. Everest, and he will wrapped it around Moxley’s neck. Moxley… and the Death Riders. The whole thing… will come crumbling down. Moxley says he’s never lied to Darby, and the truth is, Darby has been fighting ghosts. Rating: **1/2. Lots of Samoa Joe in the one, helping them looking strong going into his showdown with Hangman Page this weekend.
The Opps are attacked from behind now, as Rush and Sammy Guevara bait Hangman into the ring. Page runs everyone off as Joe gives him his belt back.
Final Thoughts: It almost feels like Darby Allin and Jon Moxley is going to be the main event on Saturday, as both men did a head of a job with their segment. It wasn’t a bad show tonight, it was kind of just there. The wrestling was good tonight, but nothing really that could be considered “can’t miss.” 7/10.Â
There’s still an hour ahead of us, so let’s flip right over to Collision.
