It was announced during the August 8 episode of AEW Collision that MJF will square off against Nick Wayne and “Speedball” Mike Bailey in a three-way match on the August 12 edition of AEW Dynamite in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The winner will secure the No. 2 entry spot in the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In: London on August 30. Andrade currently holds the coveted No. 1 position after picking up a big victory on last week’s show.
Also during the August 8 episode of AEW Collision in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Darby Allin issued a challenge to TNT Champion Kevin Knight for a Falls Count Anywhere title showdown at AEW All In: London. The pay-per-view is scheduled for August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
Three names have officially advanced in the inaugural AEW Continental Challenge Cup tournament, with five first-round matches still to come.
In the main event of Saturday’s Collision, Eddie Kingston got back on track with a victory over Jake Doyle to punch his ticket to the next round. Claudio Castagnoli also advanced with a win over Ace Austin, while Orange Cassidy snapped a four-match losing streak on AEW television by defeating Matt Sydal.
The Continental Challenge Cup action will continue on the August 12 episode of AEW Dynamite in “Sin City,” with Jon Moxley taking on “Jungle” Jack Perry and Jay White going one-on-one with David Finlay in a pair of first-round tournament bouts.
Also announced for Wednesday’s Dynamite is TNT Champion Kevin Knight defending his title against Chris Jericho.
Three additional Continental Challenge Cup first-round matches have been announced for the August 15 episode of AEW Collision in Las Vegas. Katsuyori Shibata will battle Nigel McGuinness, Roderick Strong will collide with Kyle O’Reilly, and Brian Cage will square off against Hechicero.
