Swerve Strickland is giving Myka Lockwood her flowers after the NXT star used a variation of one of his signature moves.
Strickland initially reacted to a fan sharing footage comparing Lockwood’s double pumphandle into a falling powerslam with his own version of the move, responding with one word: “Influence.”
The AEW star later elaborated on X, noting that Lockwood actually used the more difficult hand-clutch setup associated with Shane Mercer rather than Strickland’s powerbomb variation.
“The hand clutch setup is the @theirondemon version which is MUCH harder to do than my powerbomb version. Which she pulled off both excellent,” Strickland wrote.
Lockwood appeared on the first two seasons of WWE “Legends & Future Greats,” where The Undertaker served as her mentor. She made her NXT debut in April and later aligned with Vanity Project.
The NXT prospect also generated attention on social media last week after footage surfaced of her powerbombing CM Punk at an NXT live event (Watch Video Here).
