Sad news wrestling friends.
Afa Anoa’i, better known as Afa The Wild Samoan, has passed away. He was 81 years old. Afa’s son, Samu, confirmed the news on August 16th. Samu writes:
It is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of my father Afa Anoai Sr. It was a peaceful transition and he was surrounded by loved ones. Please respect our privacy as we morn our father.
Afa was a WWE Hall of Famer and a former multi-time tag team champion. His brother, Sika, the other half of the Wild Samoans, sadly passed away on June 25th. Wrestling Headlines sends our condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the departed.
