MLW heavyweight champion Alexander Hammerstone recently spoke with The Wrassingh Show about a wide range of pro-wrestling-related topics, including his thoughts on AEW’s MJF, a man the Hammer used to run with in the Dynasty faction in MLW.
During the interview, Hammerstone discusses how great of a heel MJF has been for AEW, and how he hopes they can meet in the ring again as opponents following the matchup they had at the 2019 Opera Cup. Highlights are below.
On facing MJF at the 2019 MLW Opera Cup :
“[It was] one of my favorite matches to date. He just brings something to the ring that is undeniable. You can’t help but pay attention to him. You can’t help but hate him.”
How MJF is in a league of his own:
“He’s kind of in a league of his own. He’s really one of a kind and I had a lot of fun wrestling him and hopefully, I get to have a lot of fun wrestling him another time on perhaps even a bigger stage.”
