First of all, I have a great deal of respect for the Wrestling Observer/Figure 4 Weekly website and publications. Without Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez, we're talking about 60% of the valid news stories online are gone. They have done the legwork so that we can read into and figure out the inner-workings of the WWE and other wrestling promotions.

BUT... As I've been reading what they've posted lately as well as a paraphrased version of their recent Audio Show (or what I believe is an audio show), they are suggesting that TNA Wrestling could have the opportunity to sue the WWE if Ric Flair were to show up at the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony provided that Flair is under contract with TNA.

Very valid point... But aren't we forgetting something? WWE is a publicly traded corporation. Sorry, but I'm sure that their team of lawyers has reviewed and considered this situation. I wouldn't doubt that the Hall of Fame ceremony has some sort of designation, such as a "banquet", that would cause an easy loophole versus whatever Flair's contract might say. Sure, the Hall of Fame ceremony will be filmed and sold on DVD...

You can't convince me, however, that Vince McMahon didn't review this with his large and quite expensive Legal department at the WWE Corporation (or whomever is performing legal services for the WWE). No way in heck that Vince, the Chairman of the WWE Board, didn't at least review the situation with Legal.

And, for all we know, TNA may have approved it. After all, they stand to benefit by bragging up that they have a 2-time WWE Hall of Famer on their roster (in addition to the many World Titles). It's a "goodwill" event, in my opinion, and it's in TNA's best interests to lend Flair out for the night. Suing the WWE will set a bad precedent for the future when wrestlers might want to be honored like this in the future, plus, the WWE will get Legal revenge elsewhere. As a few of you on LordsofPain.net's DISQUS have already discussed, the WWE could have pounded TNA for the ECW reunion stuff.

Where I think the controversy over the Horsemen's induction exists is if this is an induction of JUST Ric Flair/Barry Windham/Arn Anderson/Tully Blanchard. WWE better classify this, or else ANY Horsemen foursome could be counted. On the campaign trail, I wouldn't want to be Linda McMahon and then asked about why the WWE is inducting Chris Benoit into their Hall of Fame. It's something that an outside group could easily use on Linda McMahon...

If it's "all the above" on Horsemen, then that means Sid Eudy has made the Hall of Fame... Oh yeah!

And you can't forget this...

And the destruction of the Ding Dongs...

Just chill till the next episode...
