-------------------- Ehhhhh, somewhat as I was expecting, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Shawn Michaels appears to be scheduled to be the "special guest referee" of the Triple H vs. Undertaker rematch. I have predicted that the Undertaker match at Wrestlemania 28 would be Triple H vs. Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels with Michaels coming out of retirement... I've even boldly declared that Undertaker will put Michaels over because of Wrestlemanias 25 and 26. It's obvious to me, mostly because of THIS SEGMENT that I believe presents a rare case of actual long-term WWE booking: ^ Damn the Undertaker is a BADASS in that video. Mind you, this was just before Shawn Michaels was to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Why would he allow himself to be shamed like that? I'm guessing from here and until Wrestlemania 28, the "wrestling itch" will hit Shawn Michaels. Shawn has been a pro wrestler since October 1984 and it's hard to shut it off after 25 years in the business. That, and the prospect of wrestling both his best friend, Triple H, and a wrestler whom he's had THREE 5-star bouts with (Badd Blood 1997, Wrestlemania 25, Wrestlemania 26), the Undertaker, at Wrestlemania 28 is too tempting. But I seriously believe that the WWE and the Undertaker want to give Shawn Michaels the honor of defeating the Undertaker for match #20 to end the streak. Why? I believe that the Undertaker is very grateful for Wrestlemanias 25 and 26 and probably respects Michaels for his work. Also, I believe that the WWE ranking Shawn Michaels as #1 for their Top 50 Superstars of All Time DVD is quite telling, being only above the Undertaker. I expect this match to turn into a 3 Way match, unless the WWE has plans to do the 3 Way at SummerSlam instead so that the Undertaker can respectfully obtain win #20. Interesting twist, though, with Triple H will put his career on the line! Yeah, that's a stipulation that always sticks... CONTACT MR.
