WWE nXt Results
December 2nd, 2015

On commentary tonight, at Full Sail University, are Rich Brennan, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves.

Opening Segment

During Corbin’s ring entrance, they cut to a really cool promo screen for nXt Takeover: London, previewing the match between Corbin and Crews. Good work, WWE production truck.

Singles Match: Baron Corbin vs. “The Perfect 10” Tye Dillinger
We start the match with slaps from Dillinger, which lead to Corbin delivering a huge spinning back body slam. The crowd boos as Corbin tosses Dillinger around the ring. Another slam to the mat and Corbin’s moseying along here, which allows Dillinger to get a little fight in, including a heel kick to the chin and a 2 count pinning attempt. Dillinger sits on the top rope and launches himself into Corbin...who catches him and gives him the END OF DAYS. This one’s over.

Winner: Baron Corbin via pinfall in 2 minutes and 54 seconds
Post-Match, it’s Kyle Edwards (aka Arda Ocal for those of you who know him from his days with the Score in Canada), interviewing Apollo Crews. He asks if he’s concerned with Finn Balor’s condition. Crews says he’s more concerned about beating up Baron Corbin to find out who the man is in nXt.
One cool point for Corbin’s domination of Dillinger. Not much of a warmup for him. Dillinger might be wishing he hadn’t gone up to the top rope.

Coming Up: Samoa Joe vs. Tommaso Ciampa and next, Nia Jax vs. Blue Pants

Don’t forget, nXt Takeover: London starts at 3PM on December 16th!

Second Segment
Rich Brennan is with Ciampa who says everything changes when he beats Samoa Joe in the ring tonight.

Singles Match: Nia Jax vs. Blue Pants
Nia Jax clotheslines Blue Pants to begin the match, followed by the sort of throws you’d see from a person chucking bags of soil or manure into the back of the truck. Blue Pants tries kicking Jax which makes her angrier and she drops a few elbow drops on the midsection of her opponent. Huge Samoan drop, followed by the leg drop. She steps on Blue Pants to cover her for the win.

Corey Graves says whatever’s left of Blue Pants will be known as Soiled Pants. But how does he know? Saxton says Bayley’s championship is in serious danger from this woman.

Winner: Nia Jax via pinfall in 2 minutes and 8 seconds

One cool point for

Earlier this week, Tom Phillips interviewed the nXt Tag Team Champions, Dash and Dawson. They don’t want to talk about their win last week. They want to talk about the future. Phillips inquires if they’re concerned about their cheap tactics with Enzo & Big Cass, which prompted an attack. Dash & Dawson have no respect for them. Nevertheless, they’ll defend the titles against them. They are very clear about them being the best tag team on the planet. Dawson promises a broken leg for Cass. Wilder says Enzo & Cass will be lucky to walk out of that match at all.

Coming Up: James Stom vs. Adam Rose

Did you know there are 2 official themes for nXt Takeover: London, England. One of them is “Could Have Been Me” by The Struts.

Third Segment

Singles Match: James Storm vs. Adam Rose

Rose walks to the ring with no theme music to reflect his newly found serious nature, and the fans chant his old tune for him. Funny stuff.
Big chants for Storm to kick off this match as the two men grapple. Off the ropes, Storm delivers a careless hip toss. Rose claims control of the match with a few strikes to the face and torso, followed by a submission to the head. The Bearded Outlaw punches his way out of it until Rose slams him back down and gestures to the crowd. Storm begins to turn it around with a few clotheslines and a kick to the back of the head in the corner. Neckbreaker! He gets the claps going and lands a vicious Last Call kick to the chin for the win.

Winner: James Storm via pinfall in 2 minutes and 44 seconds

One cool point for James Storm’s victory and his new ring gear, which feature white and black pants, saying “Bearded Outlaw”. He looked good in this match. I was just thinking how cool it would be to see him in the Royal Rumble, but that might be too quick of a jump to the main roster in the WWE’s eyes.

Backstage, the Vaudevillains are unhappy about losing to Dash & Dawson. Gotch says don’t forget that they’re former tag team champions and they will win tonight. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable arrive and sound surprised about this claim. They say they’re pretty good and the fans will be the real winners tonight. Gable breaks out the towel and he doesn’t have to ask Jordan to participate in the “Ready, Willing & Gable” this time. They shake hands.

Promo: A video package documents highlights of Sami Zayn’s nXt career so far and states his return is near. The focus was on his title match with Neville at nXt Takeover: Revolution.

Fourth Segment

Tag Team Match: The Vaudevillains vs. Jason Jordan & Chad Gable

Gable and Gotch begin with some excellent sparring, including an arm lock from Gotch which Gable forces into a pinning attempt. Now it’s Gable’s turn to put an ankle lock on Gotch. He tags in Jordan who quickly pounces on his opponent for a suplex attempt, but Gotch slips out and tags in English. He executes a back to belly slam and begins to alternate between submission and pinning attempts. They run the ropes and English tries to jump over Jordan but gets caught. Jordan can’t execute though as English rolls him up and his next few moves get the crowd chanting, “This is wrestling!” Jordan has English by one leg and drops him before tagging in Gable. Gable rushes English in the corner and gets thrown over the top rope to the outside. Ouch!
The ref gets to the 5 count before Gable rolls in to be pinned for 2. Gotch is tagged in and the two hit Gable with a double punch. Another cover for 2. English tags in again and locks in a Cobra Clutch type submission. Gable fights his way out, reaching for Jordan’s tag but can’t do it. A slam later and we get the hot tag. Jordan nails English, then Gotch, with dropkicks. Huge modified underhook suplex on Gotch, followed by a spear in the corner. Gable’s tagged in for an assisted belly to back suplex and a bridge pin by Gable for the win.

Winner: Jason Jordan & Chad Gable via pinfall in 5 minutes and 26 seconds

Post-match: Graves asks who’s next for Jordan & Gable cause they’re on a roll. The two teams face off as Jordan & Gable extend their hands as good sports, but the Vaudevillains reject them and leave the ring. They must be getting frustrated about the last few weeks of losses.

One cool point for Jason Jordan & Chad Gable who are quickly moving up the ranks of the Tag Division. Could we see them face Dash & Dawson in the new year? I think so.

Backstage, Dana Brooke and Emma are with the backstage interviewer where Brooke talks about smacking Asuka around. Emma tells her to calm down. Last week was a warning. Next time, we don’t wanna know what Emma will do. But I think we do. Emma tells Brooke to cool off backstage. Brooke feels better when she does the head tap thing to the guy.

Promo: It’s a black and white video of a guy singing and playing his guitar. It was a pretty good song, in the folk style. We don’t get a clear shot of the man’s face. It could be a new wrestler on the way but no information was given on when or who he was.

Fifth Segment

Singles Match: Emma vs. Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan kinda looks like Trish Stratus and she’s representing New Jersey She’s rocking the shorts with suspenders attached, which could be a liability for her if Emma decides to grab them.
The two grapple and take turns striking. Emma uses the turnbuckle to assist her and then locks in a vicious spider submission using the ropes. Big Emma slam into the corner on Morgan. Emma applauds herself as she continues the attack. We get the stepping on hair pull, which prompts a few feisty return punches from Morgan. Emma’s not having any of it though. Morgan dropkicks Emma, tries to send her to the corner, but it’s reversed. Morgan kicks her way out and goes for the pin. Emma bridges out of it and delivers a double underhook suplex. She’s in control of this one. Emma Lock. We’re done here.

Winner: Emma via submission in 3 minutes and 51 seconds

Post-Match: On the big screen, it’s Asuka with a punching bag. She says, see you in London and continues kicking that bag. The crowd chants, “Asuka’s gonna kill you!” That’s great stuff.

One cool point for the win by Emma who is looking just great in the ring. She’s gotta be one of the contenders to Bayley’s title in the new year.

Bayley gets the backstage interview treatment to talk about her match last week where Nia Jax attacked her. Everyone knows Bayley’s story and she’s had to beat the very best. She doesn’t know if Jax is one of the best but she’s willing to accept any challenge. Jax shows up to stare down Bayley and then she chucks Bayley to the cement floor. Here we go!
The official theme for nXt Takeover: London, England is “Ace of Spades” by Motorhead. Guess Triple H wanted to send some royalty money over to his favourite band!

Closing Segment

Singles Match: Samoa Joe vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Joe’s offensive is first to land, as he punishes Ciampa with strikes and hand-holding (not the nice kind). He’s targeting the left arm of Ciampa, stretching and contorting it. The ref asks Ciampa if he wants to quit, but not yet. Joe is firmly in control, keeping the pace slow. Ciampa starts a slap fest which leads to a flurry of punches and kicks from Joe. Ciampa is able to get a pinning attempt and to start his own attack, kicking Joe in the face and connecting with a shoulderbreaker. 1 count.
Ciampa returns to the slaps, knees and then a kick to the head. He wraps his legs around Joe for a headlock submission. Ciampa’s hanging on just barely, punches him and now moves to an arm submission. Joe powers him into the corner. Huge kick to the back of the head. Flurry of punches to the torso. Ciampa escapes right into a slam. The crowd chants “Joe!” Ciampa’s up on the top rope and Joe connects with the muscle buster, immediately wrapping Ciampa up into the Koquina Clutch. Ciampa taps.

Winner: Samoa Joe via pinfall in 6 minutes and 38 seconds

One cool point for the message this victory sends to Joe’s opponent at nXt Takeover: London, Finn Balor. We’re in for a real treat and Brennan asks if we might have a new champion in 2 weeks. What do y’all think about that?
