More details have emerged regarding AEW’s plans for All In later this month.
Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay has reportedly been the expected main event for the show dating back to roughly February. Despite rumors that MJF could be added to the match, that apparently has not been under consideration.
Instead, MJF has been planned for the Casino Gauntlet match since before losing the AEW World Championship. Andrade has also long been part of those plans, with the match expected to heavily feature both men and use their involvement to add more star power to the lineup.
Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight was another match discussed internally for All In. It is unclear whether that remains the plan.
Mercedes Moné challenging Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women’s World Championship has also reportedly been planned for months. There was some internal support for adding Thekla to the match as she gained momentum as champion, but Moné vs. Nightingale remained the direction after Toni Storm was removed from the equation. Nightingale’s injury reportedly forced AEW to adjust the original path toward the match.
As of last week, the AEW World Tag Team Championship match was planned as Cope & Christian vs. The Young Bucks. Despite fan speculation about potentially involving the Motor City Machine Guns, FTR, or Kofi Kingston & Austin Creed, none are currently expected to be added. FTR are scheduled for other events in London during All In week.
Divine Dominion vs. Brawling Birds has also reportedly been part of AEW’s plans for most of the year.
Another notable name expected back in the fold soon is Swerve Strickland. Strickland has been absent from AEW programming recently but is believed to be nearing his return, potentially as soon as tonight’s Dynamite. He is scheduled to be part of All In.
There is also continued expectation that Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed will be joining AEW in the near future, though their acquisitions have not been confirmed.
