Big Boom AJ of the Costco Guys will be facing off against QT Marshall on the “Zero Hour” Kickoff show for Saturday’s Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view event. Big Justice will also be involved.
In recent months, AJ has been promoting the match with a media tour. It is said that AEW officials are thrilled with this and the attention the angle has gained going into the show.
Fightful Select is reporting that there were never any plans to have the angle featured on TV.
QT Marshall and Sonjay Dutt reportedly pushed hard for the match to happen. When they approached AEW President Tony Khan with the idea, the pitch was for the program to not take up any time on AEW Dynamite or Collision. The reason for this is because they didn’t want talent to become upset that the angle would take up their TV time.
Over the past week, AEW decided to incorporate Big Boom AJ into a Dynamite segment due to the momentum the storyline has gained since AJ began his media tour.
Finally, it was added that AJ and his family have been very respectful of the process.
