Bayley’s WWE future remains up in the air, with her current contract situation reportedly unresolved.
Bayley has not wrestled for WWE since a July 26 live event in Bakersfield, California. Her most recent televised match came against Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18 at Madison Square Garden.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com, Dave Meltzer reported that Bayley has yet to sign a new WWE contract and currently has a decision to make regarding her future.
“The only thing I heard from them when it comes to Bayley is that Bayley has a decision to make. So that’s the story. Bayley has a decision to make. She has not signed a contract.”
Meltzer suggested Bayley’s absence from television is tied to the contract situation, with WWE potentially having a storyline ready for her if she re-signs.
“When she signs a contract, I’m sure she’ll be back on TV,” he noted. “If she doesn’t sign, I think they’re doing the same thing with that that Tony does, or has done. He doesn’t always do it and they don’t always do it.”
Meltzer continued, “But I think the situation with her is if she signs a contract, she’ll probably come back and attack Lyra, and that’ll be her storyline. And if she doesn’t sign, then she doesn’t come back and the Madison Square Garden thing was her write-off.”
Meanwhile, Bayley has fueled speculation about her future with a recent social media post.
Bayley shared a training video on Instagram on Monday using a song titled “All In,” prompting some fans to speculate about a potential appearance at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. She added the caption, “All or Nothing, baby.”
Mercedes Moné has also played into the speculation surrounding her longtime friend and rival. Moné recently shared a fan-made match graphic advertising herself against Bayley at AEW WrestleDream.
There has been no confirmation that Bayley is headed to AEW, and Meltzer’s report indicates that she still has the option of signing a new WWE contract.
