Joe Hendry’s recent absence from WWE television appears to be connected to a project outside of the ring.
According to one source, Hendry has been working on the first project stemming from WWE’s recently announced partnership with ReelShort.
Hendry is filming a role in a live-action microdrama that is being produced for release on mobile platforms. No additional details regarding the project or Hendry’s role have been revealed.
Hendry had been featured on WWE programming heading into SummerSlam, including a segment involving Danhausen, Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, and boxer Ryan Garcia.
There is currently no word on when Hendry is expected to return to WWE television.
