Nick Aldis’ WWE in-ring future could include more matches following his SummerSlam performance.
According to backstage belief within WWE, Aldis is expected to wrestle again for the company after making his in-ring return at SummerSlam, where he challenged GUNTHER.
One source indicated that Aldis’ next match may not take place until 2027, suggesting there are currently no immediate plans for him to return to active competition.
The same source added that several people within WWE view Aldis as being every bit as talented, if not more so, than a number of the company’s regular television performers. There is also reportedly support backstage for Aldis to receive a more substantial in-ring run rather than being limited to a one-off appearance.
Aldis made his WWE in-ring debut at SummerSlam after serving as SmackDown General Manager since joining the company in 2023. After the match, he was reinstated as SmackDown G.M.
