WWE is continuing to move forward with plans for the John Cena Classic tournament, with the previously reported timeframe for the event apparently remaining intact.
Earlier this year, it was reported that WWE was looking to hold the tournament toward the end of 2026. According to a new update, there have been no significant changes to those plans.
WWE sources reportedly indicate that the company is currently looking at a date sometime after Survivor Series for the John Cena Classic.
Survivor Series is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 28 in Houston, Texas, which would leave December as the most likely window if WWE sticks with the current timetable.
While plans are said to be moving forward, an official date has yet to be finalized or announced. Additional details regarding the tournament format, participants and where the event will air have also yet to be confirmed.
