Backstage Update On WWE’s Plans For IShowSpeed Match At WrestleMania 42, Possible Spoiler On Another Yet-To-Be-Announced Bout

WWE’s WrestleMania 42 card is continuing to take shape as the company closes in on its biggest show of the year.

With less than three weeks to go, the current lineup sits at 12 matches, but that number is expected to grow.

At least two additional bouts are likely to be added before the final card is locked in.

Speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio via F4WOnline.com, Dave Meltzer provided insight into what could be next.

One of the matches being discussed internally is a six-man tag team bout featuring Logan Paul, Austin Theory and IShowSpeed taking on The Usos and LA Knight.

That’s the working plan.

However, there is some flexibility depending on IShowSpeed’s in-ring readiness. If he’s not cleared or prepared to compete, the match would shift to a traditional tag team format, with The Usos facing Theory and Paul, while Knight and Speed would remain involved at ringside in their respective corners.

As it stands, though, the six-man tag version is what WWE is currently planning.

The other potential addition to the WrestleMania 42 lineup is a singles match between Iyo Sky and Asuka.

While that bout has not been officially confirmed, it is considered likely at this stage.

If both matches are finalized, WrestleMania 42 would move to a 14-match card, evenly split with seven matches scheduled for each night of the two-night event.

There had been some speculation about WWE expanding the show even further to 16 total matches, but as of now, that does not appear to be the direction being taken.

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to take place on April 18 and April 19 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.
