WWE officials are reportedly looking to sell the company before the year is over.

A new report from Wrestling Observer Radio notes that WWE officials are looking to sell the company by mid-2023.

As we’ve noted, WWE hired JP Morgan to lead the sales talks. It was noted that the media players that have been speculated on, such as Comcast/NBCUniversal, are in the mix, as is Saudi Arabia with their Public Investment Fund.

WWE CEO Nick Khan was in Los Angeles on Monday for a NCAA college football game, and he met with “heavy hitters” while there, including Disney CEO Bob Iger and ESPN President Jimmy Pitaro. Endeavor, the parent company to the UFC, is also “in the hunt” for WWE.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is reportedly facilitating working on the sale, while Khan is running the company. This could always change due to the rapid pace of change within the company right now.

Word now is that “there was smoke” to the Saudi rumors from Tuesday night, but it was way too early for a deal to be finalized. It’s believed that selling to the Saudis is the only option if WWE wants to take the company back to being private.
