The full picture for WrestleMania 42 is beginning to take shape, but a few key pieces are still being finalized.
At this point, 12 matches have officially been confirmed for the two-night premium live event, signaling that the card is nearing completion. However, the current internal expectation is that the show will ultimately feature around 14 matches across both nights.
There are still a couple of additions expected before everything is locked in.
One match believed to be on the way is a tag team bout pitting IShowSpeed & The Vision against The Usos & LA Knight. While not yet officially announced, the bout is anticipated to be added as plans continue to come together.
That’s not all.
There has also been internal discussion regarding the Intercontinental Championship ladder match, with talent from AAA and SmackDown reportedly being considered for inclusion. The match could end up featuring a mix of established names and outside representation, depending on how things shake out.
As for Carmelo Hayes, there hasn’t been any concrete update regarding his WrestleMania status. That said, WWE is said to be aware of the online criticism surrounding his absence from the United States Title picture.
Nothing is set in stone just yet, though.
As always, plans remain subject to change as WrestleMania draws closer, and adjustments to both the lineup and match count are still possible before the final card is officially locked in.
WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to take place on April 18 and April 19 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.
