WWE reportedly has several potential plans in the works involving Roman Reigns over the next couple of months.
A match between LA Knight and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is said to be under consideration, with a strong internal belief that the bout could take place at Money in the Bank on October 10.
Before that, Reigns is scheduled to defend his title on the September 14 episode of WWE Raw in Mexico City. WWE is currently holding a tournament featuring luchadores to determine his challenger, and the backstage expectation is reportedly that Penta will emerge as the winner.
Those within WWE are said to view the tournament as a unique opportunity to capitalize on the Mexican market, with Penta considered the right choice for the title opportunity regardless of the other competitors involved.
In other WWE news, the company has reportedly expressed interest in having Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski appear on the September 28 episode of Raw at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Misiorowski goes by the nickname “The Miz,” and one idea under consideration would play off his nickname and WWE star Mike “The Miz” Mizanin.
Whether Misiorowski will be available remains uncertain, however, as the MLB playoffs begin on September 28. WWE is reportedly interested in having him appear on the show even if a storyline involving The Miz does not come together.
