WWE could be on the verge of making a major announcement involving Ireland.
It was announced on Thursday that Becky Lynch and Finn Balor will appear live in studio on Newstalk FM’s Off The Ball at 7 p.m. local time on Friday for what the outlet is billing as a “massive announcement.”
Off The Ball is promoted as Ireland’s most popular sports show.
“On Friday’s Off The Ball, WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and Finn Balor will be live in studio for a massive announcement,” the social media promotional tease read. “You don’t want to miss this! Tune in from 7pm to Newstalk FM!”
While nothing has been confirmed by WWE, the announcement has fueled speculation that the company could unveil plans for a premium live event in Ireland. WWE has recently expanded its “Clash” branded international events with shows such as Clash at the Castle in Scotland, Clash in Italy, and the upcoming Clash in Paris.
WWE has not yet announced any premium live events for November or December, making a potential Ireland event more likely for 2027. If such a show is announced, it would mark WWE’s first-ever premium live event in Ireland. The company has also yet to reveal any UK or Ireland tour dates for 2027.
