Blake Monroe is making it clear that she wants a bigger stage for her WWE SmackDown in-ring debut.
Monroe was originally advertised to face Giulia on Friday’s episode of SmackDown in Toronto. The match never got underway, however, as Monroe attacked Giulia before the bell and ultimately did not make her official in-ring debut for the brand.
WWE later released a backstage clip featuring Monroe reacting to what happened. “The Glamour” dismissed the idea that Friday counted as her debut and instead set her sights on Interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green.
“That’s not my debut. I didn’t wait four months getting called up to SmackDown, and I didn’t wait nine years to make it to the WWE to have my debut like that,” Monroe said. “I’m World Championship material. So you find Chelsea Green, you bring her to me, and then you get The Glamour. Until then, get out my face.”
Monroe doubled down on that message afterward on social media.
“World championship material, don’t waste my time,” she wrote.
It remains to be seen when Monroe will officially compete for the first time on SmackDown or whether her comments will lead to a match against Green.
