Another WWE couple is officially counting down the days to “I do.”
WWE Superstar Carmelo Hayes has confirmed that he and WWE NXT standout Kelani Jordan are set to get married later this year, putting recent online speculation to rest.
Speaking during an appearance on the Battleground Podcast (see video below), Hayes opened up about the wedding planning process and revealed their timeline.
“It’s going good,” Hayes said about the wedding planning. “Kelani’s handling a lot of it. She’s on top of it, and I’m giving my two cents when warranted.”
Hayes also addressed the confusion among fans who believed the two had already tied the knot after photos circulated on social media.
“A lot of people thought that we already got married. I guess that was the big thing. But the wedding is in October everybody. Those were engagement photos (that were circulating on social media) and I’m super excited and we’re halfway there really.”
Also during the interview, Carmelo Hayes addressed rumors about himself taking time off from WWE.
