AEW superstar and Executive VP Cody Rhodes took to Twitter earlier today to share a clip from three years ago, when The American Nightmare captured the Ring of Honor world title from Christopher Daniels in Lowell Massachusetts. Cody writes, “3 years ago today – busted my lip but helped heal a broken heart. My first major title after setting out on my own path. From “undesirable to undeniable” started here. Privileged to be in NYC that night. Wonderful memory with @ringofhonor.”
He would later update it to read MA instead of NY. Check out the clip below.

Rhodes would carry the ROH title for an impressive 175 days before dropping it at Final Battle to Dalton Castle. He would also win the IWGP United States championship and the NWA championship prior to his formation of AEW, where he currently holds the TNT championship.
