AEW superstar Cody Rhodes issued the followings statement on Instagram revealing his top 5 moments in the history of the hit Youtube series Being The Elite created by The Young Bucks. List includes The Bears, The Bullet Club Civil War, The Exorcism of Cody Rhodes, FTR, and footage from ALL IN. He also goes on to talk about the show’s success, and wishes congratulations to Matt and Nick Jackson ahead of their one on one singles contest on the 200th episode, which premieres tomorrow.
Tomorrow is BTE 200 – NICK VS MATT – and I thought I’d list my Top 5 “Being The Elite” moments… 5) The Bears. Bury The Drug Free Bear played usually by Flip, and Burnard The Business Bear played best by “BJ” Whitmer. 4) “The Exorcism of Cody Rhodes” 3) FTR 2) The Bullet Club Civil War(which I did not start and remain forever grateful The Bucks’ chose me that night) 1) ALL IN. In all seriousness, the show itself and the memories it produced cling tightly to a spot in my heart. It allowed me to access a new set of tools as an artist and engage with a more comedic side. It also served as the catalyst for MANY significant moments in our sport. Thank you to Matt, Nick, Kenny, and Hangman(often edited the shows) for allowing me to participate in your world and cross the streams. A lot of my peers were given a huge spotlight and rub from this show, and when some of the luminary/older industry talent would criticize the show, it was worth it considering the next arena you’d be in you would see signs with the show’s catchphrases and endless amounts of merchandise concepts born from the show, you’d see the meet/greet 📸 lines go out the door for hours for the “BTE Guys”. Congratulations Matt/Nick/Kenny on all the positives and things the wrestling world gained because of this show, congratulations on the well over 7-figures in merchandising this show generated ha, and congratulations on 200! Watch it tomorrow at 2et.
