Darby Allin is embracing the competition between AEW and WWE/AAA in Chicago next month.
AEW All Out and WWE/AAA Worlds Collide are scheduled to go head-to-head in the Chicago area in late September, with All Out taking place at the NOW Arena while Worlds Collide will be held at the Allstate Arena.
During a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez (see video below), Allin was asked for his thoughts on WWE/AAA counterprogramming AEW and said he believes competition can bring out the best in everyone involved.
“I love it. I honestly feel like that’s when you do your best work,” Allin said. “It’s no secret that everybody does their best work when their back is against the wall. I think it’s fun.”
Allin added that he doesn’t get too caught up in the wrestling industry rivalry, noting that he has plenty of other interests and passions outside of the business.
“My life doesn’t begin and end with wrestling, I have so much outside interests and hobbies and passions, sometimes I just laugh at all this wrestling stuff cause I’m like, there’s a whole world out there,” he continued. “It’s just like, alright man, whatever. But honestly, I feel like it’s going to be fun.”
