David Arquette would be interested in stepping back into the wrestling world for a sequel to “Ready To Rumble.”
The former WCW World Champion took part in a Reddit A.M.A and was asked which movie from his career he would most like to make a sequel to. Arquette pointed to the 2000 wrestling comedy and believes there would be plenty of interest in revisiting the film, particularly with WWE involved.
“I think if I was to make any sequel it would be READY TO RUMBLE,” Arquette responded. “There is such a huge love of wrestling and that film and there would be so much especially if WWE was involved.”
Arquette also used the opportunity to express interest in doing something with AEW, mentioning several names he would like to work with.
“On a side note, I would love to do something on AEW,” he continued. “So many of my friends work there and I have unfinished business with Jeff Jarrett and would love to work with Jack Perry and sadly RJ City, not to mention Dalton Castle!”
Arquette has some history with AEW personalities, including previously teaming with RJ City. He has also attended AEW events in the past.
Arquette famously became WCW World Champion in 2000 during the promotional push surrounding “Ready To Rumble.” Despite his controversial title reign, Arquette was never actually pinned during his time competing for WCW.
