We reported earlier today that former NXT Cruiserweight champion Drew Gulak had been released from WWE.
Now in an update from PW Insider, it is confirmed that Gulak’s contract with the company expired following last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. There were negotiations ongoing between Gulak and WWE to try and re-sign, but they weren’t able to come to a deal in time.
This means Gulak is now an official free agent and can sign wherever he pleases with no worry of a non-compete clause that is customary when a superstar is released.
Any promotion would be lucky to have Drew Gulak on their roster. I'm a big fan of that guy.
