As noted in our spoiler report from Tuesday, Impact Wrestling did tease the return of EC3 during last night’s Impact episode on AXS.
EC3’s theme song was played after Moose retained the TNA World Heavyweight Title over Hernandez, instead of Moose’s theme. EC3 did not appear in person, but his theme song did play for a few seconds.
As seen below, Impact tweeted a clip of the moment and teased the return of “trouble” or EC3 to the promotion. They wrote, “Ladies and gentlemen, could TROUBLE be coming once again?”
Furthermore, Impact posted another teaser for the July 18 Slammiversary pay-per-view and the anchor in that promo, similar to the previous Slammiversary teaser, said that at least one former TNA World Champion will return at Slammiversary. The promo then flashed images of several former champions, including EC3, Eric Young plus Impact Hall of Famers Sting and Kurt Angle.
