Finn Balor recently attended the latest Zuffa Boxing event that aired live on Paramount Plus on August 9, 2026.
While at the event, the WWE veteran spoke with MMA social media content mega-star Nina Drama, during which he discussed Kevin Owens’ WWE return, WWE stars who could succeed in UFC, UFC fighters who could succeed in WWE and Dominik Mysterio.
Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview where he touches on these topics with his thoughts. Also embedded below are video highlights from the discussion.
On Dominik Mysterio: “Let me say something. Dominik Mysterio is annoyingly cool. The kid, everything he does seems cool and he does everything effortlessly. Obviously we’ve had our ups and downs but I got nothing but love for Dominic Mysterio and I think he’s going to be a huge, an even bigger star than he is currently. I think he’s still on the rise and I’m excited to see where he goes.”
On which UFC fighters could be successful in WWE: “Good question, well… The UFC… I’m not entirely sure. I think Max (Holloway) might do well. He’s got the gift of the gab. Yeah, and he seems to, you know, he seems to. Conor (McGregor) certainly has the gift of the gab. That’s the one thing..”
On which WWE Superstars could be successful in UFC: “Well, Brock Lesnar certainly held his own very, very well. He’s a (UFC) Heavyweight Champion, and another person who’s current Intercontinental Champion, Chad Gable. who’s a former Olympian, so he has that wrestling background. I think he could probably translate that into the cage. Shinsuke Nakamura has a lot of real fights under his belt, so I’m sure he’d be able to compete. A lot of the guys do jiu-jitsu. Baron Corbin does jiu-jitsu. He’s one of our heavier guys. I think he’d probably do well in the cage, too.”
On Kevin Owens return: “Well, first of all, Kevin Owens, one of my oldest friends in the business, he had a very, very serious neck injury. He was out for almost a year and a half, I believe. So just the fact that he was able to return to the ring made me very happy for him as a person. But as a professional, he returned at SummerSlam and I was- as a surprise at SummerSlam, I was standing in the ring and when I heard the pop that the crowd made when his music hit, it was absolutely incredible, and it kind of took me out at a moment where I could become a fan again and just stand there and watch the live audience react to Kevin Owens’ entrance. So I was very, very happy to be there.”
