Jordynne Grace is taking a frequently debated topic in WWE developmental and turning it into an academic research project.
The WWE star revealed on social media that she is writing a research paper for her kinesiology class examining why female athletes transitioning into professional wrestling may outperform their male counterparts during developmental training.
The topic has generated plenty of discussion among wrestling fans, particularly as a number of female recruits from WWE’s NIL program and other athletic backgrounds have progressed quickly through the NXT system.
Grace outlined some of the factors she is exploring in the paper.
“Writing a research paper in my kinesiology class on something highly debated in the wrestling world:
“Why female athletes transitioning to professional wrestling outperform their male counterparts in developmental training
“The biggest reasons: – most women are coming from sports with high transferability to wrestling – the female recruits have extensive experience being coached on precise movements – recruiting for women focuses on skill; recruiting for men focuses on size”
Grace has a background in powerlifting in addition to her lengthy professional wrestling career, making the intersection between athletic training and pro wrestling a subject particularly suited to her kinesiology studies.
