Jushin Thunder Liger On His Retirement: “I Want To Go Like A Liger To The End”

Japanese wrestling legend Jushin Thunder Liger issued a short statement on his Twitter page commenting on wrestling his final matchup at this morning’s WrestleKingdom 14 event. Liger states that there will be a retirement ceremony at tomorrow’s New Year’s Dash, then thanks the various number of superstars who wished him well, including current WWE Intercontinental champion, Shinsuke Nakamura.

Retired at Tokyo Dome today! After all, the champion, Hiromu was strong. I can retire without any regrets. I am grateful for messages from various people such as Choshu and Nakamura. There will be a retirement ceremony tomorrow. I want to go like a liger to the end.

Liger was pinned by IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion Hiromu Takahashi in his final outing.
