AEW world champion Kenny Omega’s appearance on last night’s IMPACT Wrestling helped IMPACT set a new viewership record on Twitch.
The promotion’s previous best on the app was 17,000, with last night’s show beginning at 34,000 before reaching a peak of 52,492 viewers for the Omega segment, which saw him and Don Callis tease a big announcement for tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
The viewership numbers for AXS TV, which is the network IMPACT airs on, have yet to be released. Last week’s number was 166,000, with a rating of 0.05 in the 18-49 demographic. The show usually does not chart in the top 150 cable programs, but has been growing AXS’s audience.
The show also featured a surprise appearance from AEW President Tony Khan, who took out a paid advertisement to promote tomorrow’s Dynamite.

Previous record was around 17,000. 52,000 is 3x that.
