AEW superstar and Executive VP Kenny Omega responded to a fan on Twitter earlier today who criticized AEW for not picking up former NXT star Deonna Purrazzo. Purrazzo appeared in a vignette during last night’s IMPACT on AXS, indicating that she has joined their Knockouts division, a point the fan uses to take a shot at AEW’s women’s division.
Omega responds with, “Truly happy for Deonna but I’m incredibly proud of our division and its athletes. You should try watching some of our matches. Start with the recent title match from a few days ago and then honestly tell me we need help.”
When the fan continued to push back, Omega answered, “Some strong thoughts that I very much disagree with, but that’s completely fine. Watch what you enjoy, sir.”
