Kevin Owens sent a message to CM Punk ahead of their upcoming Undisputed WWE Championship showdown.
WWE held a live event in New Hampshire on Thursday, August 13, where Owens picked up a victory over The Miz.
The match came about after Miz attacked Danhausen, prompting Owens to step in and face the former WWE Champion. However, KO wasn’t exactly interested in playing the hero.
After defeating Miz, Owens turned his attention to Danhausen and dished out some punishment of his own due to Danhausen’s friendship with Punk, sending a message to the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion in the process.
Owens is currently the No. 1 contender to Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship. The two are scheduled to square off for the title on the August 21 episode of WWE SmackDown in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Ahead of the 8/21 title tilt between “The Prize Fighter” and “The Best in the World,” both Owens and Punk are scheduled to appear at tonight’s WWE SmackDown, which emanates from the TD Garden in Boston, MA. For a complete preview of the show, click here.
