Lexis King showed his support for AEW’s Rebel during the August 11 episode of WWE NXT on The CW Network.
King was in action against Lucien Price on the show from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. During his entrance alongside Birthright, King held up a wristband paying tribute to Rebel before wearing it throughout the match.
While the entire message on the wristband was difficult to make out, it featured the word “Rebel” along with a heart.
After a fan noticed the tribute and pointed it out on social media, King responded with a message of support.
“Thank you for catching this, we love you Rebel,” King wrote.
Rebel is currently battling terminal ALS. Several names from across the wrestling world have participated in the revived ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in recent weeks to show their support for her.
AEW and QT Marshall’s 1FW are also set to honor Rebel next month. A special “Rebel Heart” episode of AEW Dynamite is scheduled to take place in September.
Thank you for catching this, we love you @RebelTanea ❤️👑 https://t.co/nhqJlsGiTD
