Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were the latest guests on NJPW superstar Tama Tonga’s Tama’s Island podcast to discuss the importance of the Bullet Club to professional wrestling. Gallows states that without the legendary Japanese faction the likes of NXT or AEW would not exist.
The f**king Bullet Club revolutionized professional wrestling and if somebody hears this and they’re mad about it, sorry. If there’s no Bullet Club there’s no AEW. If there’s no Bullet Club there’s no growth in professional wrestling. If there’s no Bullet Club there really is no reason to have an NXT because why do you turn developmental into indie heaven and hire everybody in the business? There’s no reason to do it. Professional wrestling advanced because of what the Bullet Club was in Japan.
Gallows would later add that he and Anderson were hired by WWE because of their success in NJPW with Bullet Club as two of its original members.
That’s why they bought us, they f**king wined and dined us, then they fired us.
