Lyra Valkyria took another shot at Bayley while discussing some of the strongest opponents she has faced during her WWE career.
Valkyria has embraced a heel persona in recent weeks, with Bayley becoming one of her primary targets. The two faced off at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden on July 18, where Valkyria picked up the victory.
Since then, Valkyria has claimed responsibility for Bayley’s absence from WWE television, even suggesting that the former Women’s Champion will not be coming back.
During a recent interview with The Sportster’s Adam Barnard, Valkyria was asked to name the strongest wrestler she has ever faced. While giving Bayley credit for her strength, Valkyria couldn’t resist taking another jab at her former rival.
“I have to hand it to her,” Valkyria said. “She was pretty strong, so it’s kind of crazy that I just, like, took her out.”
She wasn’t done there.
“Bayley, she used to be strong,” she continued. “Then, like, the whole, I don’t know what happened the last year. She was strong, and then just whatever happened, you know, she went a bit (makes noise).”
Valkyria is currently looking to work her way back into contention for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
