Matt Hardy believes The Hardys may still have another championship run in their future, potentially involving AAA.
Matt and Jeff Hardy have captured tag team gold in 12 different promotions throughout their legendary careers. While an AEW World Tag Team Championship reign never came together for the brothers, Matt recently suggested there could still be opportunities elsewhere.
“When it comes to being a tag team with all the things we’ve done, it would’ve been great if the AEW Tag Team Titles would have come to fruition,” Hardy said on ‘The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy’ podcast (see video below). “Unfortunately it didn’t and it is what it is. I don’t know. I still think there’s some things in play that we could still do.”
Hardy then specifically brought up AAA, teasing the possibility of he and Jeff eventually pursuing the promotion’s tag team titles.
“Jeff is getting to a point now where things are clearing up a little bit, like who knows, there might be a possibility of doing something with the AAA Tag Team Titles at some point,” Hardy continued.
The Hardys have never held the AAA World Tag Team Championships, meaning a run with the titles would add another promotion to their lengthy list of tag team championship accomplishments.
