The announcements keep coming out of this week’s special “Winter is Coming” themed episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS.
During the December 11 show from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, Adam Cole defeated Kyle O’Reilly, despite interference from MJF, in a high stakes bout.
Cole and O’Reilly were the final two men standing in the annual AEW Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal, and were fighting for the opportunity to face MJF for the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring at AEW Worlds End 2024.
With the win, Cole moves on to face his former Bro-Chacho pal turned bitter enemy MJF for the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring at the December 28 pay-per-view at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
Additionally, the 12/11 episode of AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming featured a backstage segment with FTR duo Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, who called out The Death Riders group of Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC and Wheeler Yuta to meet them in the ring “for a little chat” on this week’s AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming show.
Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe was also announced for Continental Classic action on AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming.
Finally, it was announced that Matt Cardona vs. Bryan Keith, with ROH Champion Chris Jericho on commentary, will take place on AEW Rampage: Winter Is Coming this week, and that Cardona and Jericho will have their official ROH Final Battle 2024 contract signing for their ROH World Championship showdown at Hammerstein Ballroom.
