Last night’s go-home edition of AEW Dynamite saw three big stars potentially sustain injury.
Matt Jackson from the Young Bucks is said to have banged up his ribs on a dive executed during a brawl with The Inner Circle in the show’s closing moments. Reports are that he may even have potentially broken a rib or torn some cartilage.
Next up is Rey Fenx…who after defeating Orange Cassidy in singles-action was involved in a post-match scuffle to set up Saturday’s number one contenders ladder match. Fenix went for a top rope dive, but didn’t get as much distance jumping off the ropes, and was not properly caught by the group beneath him. He collided on the arena floor hard and remained down for the remainder of the segment. He eventually left on his own power.
Finally Britt Baker is dealing with a knee issue after having Nyla Rose slammed on her during her tag team contest against Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander. As soon as the spot happened Baker was taken to the corner and checked on by doctors.
All three stars are still set to work Saturday’s Double or Nothing pay per view at this time, however AEW has yet to issue an official update. While Jackson and Fenix are more likely to compete, reports are that Baker could have blown out her knee, and her scheduled match against Statlander is up in the air.
