NBA star Ja Morant took notice of Kevin Owens’ choice of footwear during his latest WWE appearance.
Owens appeared for an in-ring segment with Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk on the August 7 episode of WWE SmackDown, continuing the build toward an eventual title showdown between the two.
During the segment, Owens was sporting the “Explorer” Jurassic Park x Nike Ja 3 sneakers, part of Morant’s signature shoe line.
The choice caught the attention of the Memphis Grizzlies star, who responded to a Complex Sneakers post on X highlighting Owens wearing the shoes with a fire emoji.
Owens returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2026 last weekend, earning his shot at Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship in a number one contender’s match. The August 7 SmackDown marked his first live television appearance since the premium live event.
