Juice Robinson and David Finlay captured the IWGP Tag Team Championships at today’s Wrestle Kingdom event from the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. The team dubbed ‘FinJuice’ faced Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) for the belts and took the win.
This marks the 7th time that the tag team Championships have changed hands in succession at the annual Wrestle Kingdom event. Juice Robinson and David Finlay won the World Tag League event late last year to earn the opportunity to face GOD for the titles at the Dome.
This year marks the first time in history that Wrestle Kingdom is being held over two days. At tomorrow night’s event Juice Robinson will be taking on the winner of tonight’s IWGP United States Championship match between Jon Moxley and Lance Archer. That bout will be contest under Texas DeathMatch rules.
