According to the Wrestling Observer, AEW President Tony Khan told talent who didn’t wish to continue traveling back and forth for tapings due to COVID-19 that he would put them up at a hotel in Jacksonville so they could be used. Reports are that referee Aubrey Edwards took Khan up on this offer, as she lives in Seattle, which is one of the country’s biggest hotspots in terms of viral outbreaks.
Khan also told talent and staff a couple weeks ago that no one needs to feel forced into working, and that their spots in the company would be safe if they decided to take this time off. AEW recently taped several weeks worth of television from the Dynamite location in Georgia prior to the state issuing a stay at home order.
Stay tuned.
