NJPW Announces That Tiger Mask Will Miss Upcoming Events Due To Illness

New Japan Pro Wrestling issued the following press release announcing that legendary Junior-Heavyweight Tiger Mask will be missing the upcoming events due to colonic diverticulitis. They apologize to all fans who were excited to see him in action.

Tiger Mask will be absent from forthcoming New Japan Pro-Wrestling events as he recovers from colonic diverticulitis. We apologise to all fans who are looking forward to seeing Tiger Mask perform, and wish him well in his recovery.

NJPW revealed that they will resume shows on June 15th following a 110 day shutdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They also announced the New Japan Cup tournament will resume, with the first round matchups being released. You can read more about that here.
