New Japan Pro Wrestling’s over the top streaming service NJPWWorld suffered with major issues during the showing on Wrestle Kingdom 14 Night 2. For many the stream appeared to be working perfectly until just after the Jyushin Liger retirement bout, where users noted that they had been thrown out of the live stream and were unable to access the NJPW website or app to get back in.
The outage appears to be have been widespread, with even Bryan Alvarez noting on Twitter that “Jushin Liger’s retirement has killed New Japan World.” He also alluded to the error message that plagued many users over the rest of the broadcast; “The service is most definitely CONCENTRATED.”
There is speculation that the feed is suffering due to the earlier start time of Night 2. Many fans in the United States have reportedly logged in live to view the show, far more than clearly anticipated.
As of writing the English language stream is now back up but extremely difficult to access, if you do manage to access it you’ll be greeted with a very choppy feed.
