Pro Wrestling NOAH Uses Triple H In Ongoing Storyline, Teases GHC Title Coming To WWE

A surprising WWE-related claim made its way into a Pro Wrestling NOAH storyline this week.

Triple H was referenced as part of an angle during Wednesday’s NOAH event at Korakuen Hall, adding an unexpected layer to the ongoing GHC Heavyweight Championship picture.

Yoshiki Inamura, who previously spent time on excursion in NXT from November 2024 through August 2025, currently reigns as GHC Heavyweight Champion. He is scheduled to defend the title against Alpha Wolf on April 12.

The setup for the match comes with an interesting twist.

Following his successful title defense against Kenoh on March 8, Inamura cut a promo expressing his desire to face an opponent with “WWE experience.”

Despite that statement, it was later confirmed that his next challenger would be Alpha Wolf, who does not have a WWE background.

That disconnect became part of the storyline on April 1.

Representing his Team 2000X stablemate, Yoshi Tatsu cut a promo hyping Alpha Wolf and claimed he had recently been in contact with Triple H. He went as far as suggesting that a title change could bring the GHC Heavyweight Championship under WWE’s control.

“Inamura, you love talking about WWE, don’t you,” Tatsu began (translated to English). “I just got in touch with Hunter the other day! (Shows his phone screen) It’s HHH (Triple H)!”

He continued, “After he takes the belt in Nagoya on April 12th, Wolf will head straight to WWE! The GHC Heavyweight title will be under WWE’s control. It’s what they call a defection. Don’t you guys at TEAM 2000X want to see a new timeline? Support Alpha Wolf in Nagoya on April 12th!”

It’s quite the claim.

While the comments appear to be storyline-driven, they come at a time when crossover between promotions has become more common across the industry.

Adding another layer to the situation, NOAH’s Ulka Sasaki recently began his own excursion to WWE NXT in late February, further strengthening ties between the two sides, at least on a developmental level.
