A former champion made her presence felt as AEW rolled through Canada this week.
All Elite Wrestling taped the April 2 episode of AEW Collision from the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, delivering a notable return during the show.
Hikaru Shida resurfaced on the broadcast, stepping up to answer Willow Nightingale’s open challenge for the TBS Championship.
Big-time opportunity.
Shida, a former titleholder in AEW, looked to make an immediate impact in her return bout. However, Willow Nightingale proved to be too much on this night, successfully defending her TBS Title and turning back the challenge.
Nightingale continues to build momentum.
