At Sunday night’s NJPW Strong Style Evolved event, AEW’s Jack Perry and Konosuke Takeshita faced off against Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji. Despite tension between Perry and Takeshita, they managed to defeat their opponents.

The finish came when Perry hit a low blow to Tsuji and followed it up with a running knee for the pinfall.

Following the match, Takagi attacked Perry, leading to a beatdown by Takeshita and Perry. Hiromu Takahashi quickly intervened, fighting off Takeshita and Perry. At this point, The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) came into the ring and hit a superkick on Takahashi. Despite this, Jack Perry walked past the Bucks and left the ring.

The Young Bucks then announced their plans to challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Championships at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty.

Gabe Kidd is set to compete at NJPW Battle in the Valley.

At the NJPW Strong Style Evolved event, Kidd successfully defended the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship against Ryohei Oiwa.

During the match, Clark Connors interfered, attacking Oiwa with a chair while the referee was down. Kosei Fujita made the save.

Kidd ultimately went on to win the match, hitting Oiwa with a Doctor Bomb.

Following the match, Kidd delivered a post-match promo, addressing his upcoming match with Kenny Omega at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.

And finally, The Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson) defended the NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championships against West Coast Wrecking Crew (Jorel Nelson and Royce Isaacs) at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed.

In the end, it was the West Coast Wrecking Crew who came out on top to capture the titles.

The finish came when Drake used his scarf to gain an unfair advantage. The Grizzled Young Veterans went for the Grit Your Teeth, but Nelson stopped them. This led to Isaacs rolling up Drake up for the win.
